Publication Policy
Oxy Worldwide seeks to publish feature essays and photographs produced entirely by members of the Occidental community. While all articles posted on Oxy Worldwide have been through an editing and fact checking process, the magazine holds the writer responsible for the content of his or her piece. Oxy Worldwide will not tolerate plagiarism of any kind and pledges to remove any plagiarized content from the site if it comes to light. All articles on this site are copyright of Oxy Worldwide and may not be copied in whole or in part without the permission of the magazine and/or author.
Submission Guidelines
Decisions regarding the publishing content will be made on the basis of our Editorial Policy. Decisions will be made at the discretion of the editors and will involve the consideration of factors that will respectively weigh against one another.
We will accept work that is:
- well written, researched, and edited
- innovative, engaging, or entertaining
- focused on a movement, experience, or cultural phenomenon in a foreign country
- constructive, productive, and incorporates the author’s perspective as an Occidental student or alumni
We will not accept work that:
- expresses xenophobia, sexism, racism, homophobia or discriminates against disempowered members of the community
- may be considered advertising or is of advertorial content
- overtly promotes the interests of any particular religion or religious groups, governments or corporations
